Mackay Communications Comes Aboard as FarSounder's Newest Dealership

FarSounder is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mackay Communications as their most recent dealership. Mackay Marine, a division of Mackay Communications, represents the world's leading manufacturers of electronic equipment in the marine and offshore industries. They offer a variety of the latest, most technically advanced equipment for commercial, military and personal marine applications. FarSounder advanced 3D navigation sonars will be an added dimension to Mackay's product offerings.

"As the demand for FarSounder's products increase, we are expanding our
commercial dealer network in the US and globally," FarSounder CEO, Cheryl M. Zimmerman stated. "We are pleased to have our product line represented by Mackay and are working with the Mackay staff to assure their customers will receive top service for our advanced products."

Used for obstacle avoidance and shallow water navigation, FarSounder FS-3 sonars are capable of generating a complete 3-dimensional image
of the sea floor and in-water objects at navigationally significant ranges with a single ping. The small, lightweight sonar can be
installed on new-builds or retrofitted into existing vessels. This new sonar technology revolutionizes marine navigation, especially in
shallow areas. They offer visualization of a clear, easy to understand 3D sonar image. The standard user interface software includes automated alarms, BSB chart plotting capabilities, and GPS, compass, and depth sounder display capabilities.

The technology is also appropriate for security and defense applications. FarSounder is currently working on a Phase II SBIR for the Department of Homeland Security.
